December 3, 2017, thirty-one-years later, Eric Russell, a reporter with Portland Press Herald/Maine Sunday Telegram did another lengthy article on my nearly thirty-seven-year struggle for justice for my son, Mike.  He wrote "Leola Cochran, shown in November [2017] in her Batesville, Indiana, home, believes she knows who killed her son and is still investigating Micheal's murder.

Leola turned [84] this year. She may not get any answers about her son’s death before her own. Over the last several years, she has written a book detailing everything she’s learned about her son’s killing and the 36-year aftermath. Lawyers are reviewing it for potential libel ahead of publishing.
39 YEARS LATER, TWO MEN INVOLVED IN MIKE'S MURDER ARE STILL WALKING FREE - One in Florida and the other in California!
